How to find a clearer starting point with ADHD
before you try to fix anything
Getting a diagnosis, or recognising yourself in ADHD for the first time, is a significant moment. But it rarely comes with a clear next step. And the internet will send you in twelve directions at once.
This free training gives you a grounded, professionally-guided starting point, so you can stop second-guessing what kind of support you actually need, and start understanding what may need to change.
For women in Australia who are newly diagnosed or self-identified with ADHD, and would like clarity on the next steps to take.

WHY THIS TRAINING
Some ADHD advice can start in the wrong place.
Here's a different place to begin.
After your diagnosis, or your "aha" moment, the well-meaning advice starts: build a routine, try medication, download an app. All of it aimed at getting you to function better inside a life that may not actually fit you.
This training exists because there is a step that comes before all of that. One that most resources skip entirely. And without it, even the best strategies tend not to hold.
01
You may not be overwhelmed because you're doing it wrong. You may be overwhelmed because no one has helped you identify where to start, and where not to.
02
Strategies can fail when the foundation isn't right. Before changing how you function, it's beneficial to understand how your brain actually works, where your life fits it, and where it doesn't.
03
This is a professionally guided starting point, not a list of tips. It's drawn from 25 years of clinical and research experience, and a specialisation in working with women with ADHD.
WHAT'S INSIDE
A foundational place to begin
before you try to change anything
You'll be given information to help move from uncertainty about where to start to a clearer, grounded understanding of what can actually matter first. Here's what you'll explore:
01
Why trying to function better may not be the right starting point
Understand why effort alone can keep you stuck, and what may actually need to shift first to encourage sustainable change.
02
Struggle as information about misfit, not failure
Learn to read the signal beneath the difficulty. It may not be telling you something is wrong with you. It could be showing you where your life doesn't fit your brain.
03
How to begin noticing where your life fits, and where it creates friction
A clear, accessible lens for identifying where your life is working with you, and where it's quietly working against you.
04
What may need to come first before meaningful change is possible
A foundational shift that may make every step after it more grounded, more sustainable, and genuinely yours.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
This may be a good place to start if…
You've recently discovered you have ADHD, diagnosed or self-identified, and feel genuinely unsure what to do next
You've had an "aha" moment, but aren't sure how to translate that relief into real, lasting change in your life
You feel overwhelmed by information and options, and don't want to waste time or energy going down the wrong path
You're capable and growth-oriented, but you want a clear, credible perspective before investing in any kind of support
You sense that something needs to change, and you're ready to understand yourself more deeply to figure out what that may actually be
WHAT YOU'LL WALK AWAY WITH
Three clear things
this training gives you
THREE CLEAR THINGS THIS TRAINING GIVES YOU
Why you've felt stretched, pressured, or quietly burnt out, even when you've been doing everything you're supposed to be doing
Why the most common starting points for ADHD often don't work, and what the right starting point for you may actually be
A foundational shift that may make every other change more sustainable, and how to begin identifying it in your own life
YOUR GUIDE
Hi, I'm Sioban Laffey

25+ years clinical & research experience
I'm a registered psychologist with over 25 years of clinical and research experience across private practice, universities, hospitals, and community organisations. I am also AuDHD myself.
Over the years, I kept seeing the same pattern: capable, intelligent women who felt like they were failing at life, when really, their life simply didn't fit their brain. That pattern led me to redesign my practice entirely, and to create Her ADHD Psychology.
I've since developed my own clinical framework, the Anti-Fix Alignment Approach, because I believe deeply that the goal was never to fix yourself. It's to design a life that works for how your brain actually operates.
This training is where that work begins.
